Aval Pakoda
Aval – 1 cup
Maida – 2 or 3 tbsp
Onion – 1 chopped fine
Green chillies – 2 or 3 chopped fine
Ginger – 1 inch grated or cut fine
Curry leaves – few leaves chopped
Cilantro leaves – few chopped
Salt as needed
Oil for frying
Wash and soak aval with water just enough for immersing for a minimun 10 to 15 mts. Crush aval with your fingers slightly. To it add rest of the ingredients except oil. Mix well just add few drops of water as required. The consisteny has to be of pinching through fingers.
Heat oil for frying and drop the mixture little by little and deep fry until golden brown and crisp.
